Squash Denied 2024 Olympic Games Inclusion
For the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, squash lost out to golf and rugby sevens. For Tokyo 2020, it was denied inclusion by skateboarding and sport climbing, and despite its ambitious ‘Squash Goes Gold’ campaign, aimed at giving the global squash community the opportunity to take an active part in the sport's future, it was deemed less worthy of inclusion for the Paris 2024 Olympics by breakdancing, a discipline that scarcely qualifies as sport at all.
