Chris Adcock and Gabby White Surge into Semi-Finals at Yonex German Open

Chris Adcock and Gabby White defeated Zhang Nang and Tang Jianhua in a thrilling 68-minute contest in their mixed doubles quarter-final at the Yonex German Open in Mulheim.
The England pair won 21-15 23-25 21-15 - and it could have been straight games if they could have converted one of their match points when they led 20-18 in the second game.
That game was the first they have dropped so far and they now face Denmark's Anders Kristiansen and Julie Houmann in tomorrow's semi-final. In the other semi-final Korea's Shin Baek Choel and Jang Ye Na will meet second seeds Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Zieba of Poland or eighth seeds Kenichi Hayakawa and Misaki Matsutmo of Japan.
White is back on court later tonight when she and Lauren Smith tackle a women's doubles quarter-final against Korean fourth seeds Jung Kyung Eun and Kim Ha Na.
But before that 12th seed Rajiv Ouseph took on eighth seed Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia. The six-times English National champion's run came to a disappointing end when he went down 21-15 21-10 and he must now pick himself up for the Yonex All England Championships in Birmingham, starting on Tuesday.
