Team England to Face Latvia and Lithuania in the Europeans

Team England, who are the No. 4 seeds, will face Latvia and Lithuania in the group stages of the European Mixed Team Championship in February.

The Championship will be played just outside Moscow from February.

12-17 and Team England, who are supported by Center Parcs, will be looking to improve on their bronze medal in Amsterdam two years ago.

In 2009 when the event was held in Liverpool, the England squad finished runners-up to Denmark, who will defend their title at the Borisoglebsky Sports Hall in Ramenskoje, 15 miles outside Moscow. Only 28 nations will be competing following Italy's withdrawal from the original entry.

Scotland are the No. 8 seeds and face Wales, Slovkia and the Czech Republic in Group 8. Ireland are in Group 6 along with sixth seeds France, Finland and Israel.

Denmark are top seeds and face Norway and Turkey in Group 1. Second seeds and 2011 runners-up Germany take on Estonia and Spain while Russia, who were the other bronze medallists two years ago, face Iceland and Bulgaria.

The winners of each group will go into the knockout quarter-finals.

Only three nations have won the title. England have five wins while Sweden have won it twice but Denmark have been the dominant force in recent years and have 13 titles.
